Welcome to Soundology

Hi, I'm Louise, a Sound & Rest facilitator.

I love creating and holding space for people to slow down and take a little time out for themselves with sound, rest, and gentle practices that support both body and mind.

My Story

When I first came to yoga in 2015, I thought it would just help me become more flexible. What I actually found was something far more valuable, a way to calm my mind and take a pause when life felt overwhelming.

 

I connected deeply with the gentler side of yoga, especially Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra. Those practices felt like a reset button for my mind and carried me through times of anxiety. Even now, they’re the tools I turn to whenever I need to slow down and find my balance again.

Training

After experiencing the profound effect these practices had on my own health and wellbeing, I was inspired to learn more. In 2019, I started offering classes in Yoga Nidra and Sound around Bristol, and those first trainings opened the door to more learning.

 

I went on to complete my 200-hour yoga teacher training, followed by further study in Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Reiki, and Crystal Singing Bowls. Over time I've continued to deepen my practice, guided by a real fascination with holistic therapies and the many ways they can support rest and wellbeing.

A Space for Rest

I love blending these modalities to create a gentle, restorative space for you to find rest and renewal. I also have a deep passion for aromatherapy and enjoy weaving uplifting and calming blends into my classes to enhance the experience.

Though now based in Swansea, I still travel to Bristol each month to teach and connect with the wonderful community there. I run classes and facilitate workshops in both Swansea and Bristol, and I’d love to welcome you to a session soon!
